Night Time Pumpkin Pics !

Here are the night time pictures, as promised.

Let the Pumkin Carving Commence!!

For those of you that don't know I have a thing for carving pumpkins. I am actually proud of myself for holding off until the end of September this year before we staring carving them. Last year it was a weekly occurrence from mid-September through Halloween. It's a good thing the boys enjoy it as well, or I guess they'd just have to watch!!
Here is Luke and his pumpkin. Mommy did the scrapping out of the "guts" and Dad helped with the carving.
Here is Kaleb and his pumpkin. He did most of the scrapping and almost all of the carving by his self. It's a skull with a spider web. I think it will be most scary all lit up!
Calvin likes to free hand his pumpkins most of the time. I think that's Uncle Jason's influence calling the use of a pattern "cheating".

Trevor likes to go back and forth between using patterns and making his own designs. This one was a pattern, but I will be the next one will be a Trevor exclusive!!
Me, well I just like to carve them all! I do have to say I have become quite proficient at the scrapping out the inside, so I can get to the carving that much quicker! I like to have a pattern, sometimes I make my own pattern, I haven't heard from Jason if that's cheating too, but I don't care I just love to do it!! I will post my "Raiders" pumpkin when I carve one this year.

Here are the boys and our pumpkins!!

Not sure which is scarier, the pumpkins or them!!
And to top off the day, some tackle soccer. I guess that's what happens when you have both football and soccer during the fall!!

Calvin turns 10 !!!!

Calvin's 10th Birthday !

For Calvin's party, Mom and Dad rented a bouncy house for the boys to jump in. We invited Calvin's whole class plus some other friends. And as Mom puts it, we bring our own party every where we go! We had BBQ'd hot dogs, cake & ice cream, and a water war!
As you can see the bouncy house got pretty crazy. And some of the crazy spilled out.
Luke found the peanuts and spent some time trying to get them open. He even tried throwing them against the tree. Of course then he couldn't find the peanut once it was out.
Kaleb enjoyed the peanuts too and all the other fun. Can you believe he's a first grader already?
The Birthday Boy and his friends!

Seattle

We got away for the weekend, ok, so it was a long weekend that started on Thursday. We drove up to Seattle Thursday morning, got checked into our hotel and then headed to the game. The Raiders were playing the SeaHawks. Just in case anyone didn't know, Ron is a HUGE Raider's fan and me... well... I'm a fan of a Raider's fan! It was a good game and lots of fun just to be there.

Friday we got up, late, because we could, and headed to Pike's to do some shopping and wandering around. I was amazed at everything there was to look at! I think you'd have to spend a week wandering around to see it all.

After Pike's we walked to the Space Needle. Talk about an amazing view! We also we able to witness a proposal! lets pause for the AWWWWW. We came back later that night so we could see the night skyline. I'm not sure which was more impressive.

Saturday, our last day, we took the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. What a great way to spend a few hours. It was fun to watch the cars load and unload. We're going to take the boys with us next time. I think they will love the ferry ride!!
